Ben came to our house to discuss the options and had a look at the roof, the meter box, and a peek inside the roof space. Talking to the person who would actually be doing the installation gave me a high degree of confidence regarding the quality of the system installation. Ben provided options that suited what we were looking for, and was a pleasure to deal with through the whole process. During installation, Ben and his team were polite, tidy and punctual, and were willing to answer all of my questions. I really appreciated their attention to detail and also feedback on the ridge capping on my roof. They also coped well with adapting the layout slightly when one panel did not fit due to the rafter arrangement and had to be shifted to an adjacent section of the roof. System labeling and documentation look to be thorough and professional.

Castle Solar was one of the three providers given to us via the Solar Quote process. Castle Solar was the first to get in contact and the first to complete a site visit. As Ben is the owner, installer and designer, he was able to answer all of the questions we had. He recommended that we use angle mounts for the panels, as our roof has a one degree pitch south facing. Having the angle mounts will provide better generation during winter, which is the time of the year we need the solar the most. We decided after we received the quote that we might install batteries in the future, Ben adjusted the quote for a Hybrid Inverter, so when we are ready, it will be an easier installation. Once we were happy, Ben did all of the paperwork and organised the installation, keeping us updated on the progress of the equipment deliveries. On the day of the installation, Ben and his team were very considerate of the noise and did a great job of the installation. As a person who appreciates the attention to detail in peoples work, the installation was done at a very high standard. I would highly recommend Castle Solar to anyone in Hobart wanting to install Solar, we will be giving them a call when we are ready for batteries.
